I am a lawyer by training, with over 10 years of work experience in the Great Lakes region of Africa, with particular expertise on the Democratic Republic of Congo.
My expertise lies in the fields of human rights, transitional justice, and peace-building. Over the past years I have developed various skills and competences, including leadership, oral and written communication, collaboration, problem solving, decision-making, research, analytical ability, capacity building, advocacy, and events planning. I am fluent in French, English, Swahili and Lingala.
I have worked as a Consultant for Impunity Watch, Sonke Gender Justice, and Adonai Consulting. I also volunteered for Justice Alliance of South Africa in Cape Town and Prison Fellowship International in Lubumbashi/DRC.
I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, striving to live out his Great Commandment (Mark 12:28-34) and his Great Commission (Matthew 28: 16-20).
I like to read, write, and contemplate nature. I have written and published several books and articles.
I have spoken at various conferences, seminars and workshops, including my own book launch events.

I hold a Master’s in Human Rights Law from the University of Cape Town (School for Advanced Legal Studies) and a law degree from the University of Goma (Faculty of Law).
